Something New: Week 10 - Karaoke in Burbank
So what do you do while LA burns down around you? If you’re anything like us then you’ll go out and sing badly in front of a bunch of drunken strangers. This weeks activity finds us in the city I love to hate - Burbank. Places to Eat In LA: Kyushu Ramen
In terms of comfort food Ramen has to rank up there with a nice Filipino breakfast. Braving the cold winds in the Valley my friends and I decided to head out to one of my favorite Ramen places outside of Little Tokyo - Kyushu Ramen. This place became a local favorite of mine a few years due to its location and its selection of different kinds of Ramen. This type of Ramen should not be confused with the prepackaged Ramen you find at stores due to its more complicated nature. While the main idea stays the same - noodles and soy or miso base - the collection of vegetables and different meats and spices make Ramen a truly enjoyable experience for me.
Election Day 2008
The big day is here - Election 2008. Being an Australian citizen I can’t vote, but I strongly urge most of you to. I hope that you’ll vote for McCain. Not because I believe in his views, or think that Sarah Palin is hot, no I want you to vote for him because I don’t want to lose a bet and buy someone dinner. Democrat or Republican remember the real issue here - letting me eat dinner at a fancy restaurant for free!
