Looking for glasses is hard! My glasses are currently sporting a nice crack that runs halfway through the right eye. It started as a little crack and over the last few months has invaded my vision. Using one of my forced days off (I have way too much Paid Time Off accumulated) I decided to go to the optometrist and get a prescription for new glasses. My vision hasn’t changed much in the last few years so I’m kind of glad for that, but now the hunt begins.

I’m looking at a few places online. I have found that buying my glasses online is a lot cheaper than purchasing them from a brick and mortar store. A couple of places I have found have given me a lot of info on buying glasses without the need to shell out all that money for something I tend to break by falling asleep with them on. Glassy Eyes gives a pretty decent review/account of buying glasses online along with links to several different online places where glasses can be had for a little over $100. I understand the concept of you get what you pay for but the idea of shelling out more than my company reimburses me for vision seems a tad bit drastic!

I’ve got my eye on a pair of titanium glasses and will probably get some transition lenses simply because I feel as if I need some kind of sunglass action going. I’ll keep you posted on how it turns out.
