My Bucket List (Updated 09.08.2009)

A life of meetings and commuting. I won’t say that it’s a bad life – it’s actually a great life, but is it the life I thought it would be? Not quite. I’m glad I stayed away from the possibility of being a writer. The money would’ve been great, but the chance of succeeding very low. I should have been a doctor but I think I would not been able to keep up with the logistics of it all. But that is my life, and for what it’s worth, it’s a pretty good one.
With my 27th birthday coming up I’ve decided on a few things. Firstly, I shall not be celebrating any other birthday until I turn 30, then it shall be a big old bash in the land where it all began – Australia. Secondly, at the suggestion of my sister I shall create a “life list”. You know, one of those “bucket lists” of things to do during your lifetime. I’ll keep it short for now and add to it as time progresses. I’ll keep tabs of what I’m doing, if I do it, and report back to you how it all turns out. Read on to see what I have so far.
My Life List
- Live in Australia for at least a year again
- Eat Fugu
- Make six figures by the time I’m 35
Travel to Asia- Travel to Europe
- Travel to Antarctica
- Own an Aston Martin
- Visit Alaska
- Go into space
- Watch my sister get married
- Find one childhood friend (from Australia)
- Learn another language
- Pickup my accent again
- Sell something I’ve created
- Take a boat ride between countries
Scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef (Done!)- Visit the Great Wall of China
- RV to different states
- Overcome my fear of public speaking
- See the 4 Corners
- Get in shape and stay in shape

- Bungee Jump
- Go mountain climbing again

- Go to the Maldives

You should also make a list of things you have experienced/accomplished because it makes you realize that you’ve done a lot of stuff other people haven’t done. I get to cross off Yosemite. W00t! I know you want to add go to a shooting range and see Niagara Falls on your list and take your sister with you…

Oh… I see how it is… you give cred to the other places you’ve gotten your blog pics from… but not from your old friend…

Wanna tag along with me to the Great Wall? It’s also on my list of things to do before I die. Also… there’s a stupid book out I saw titled “101 things to do before you die”… pissed me off that someone got it published despite the fact that I started my list over a yr ago. LAME.
