After nearly a year of waiting and biding my time, I can finally reveal that I have new glasses. After losing my prescription and not finding anything good online, I finally decided to go to a brick and mortar store and pick up a pair. 12 days later the glasses were finally available for pick up.

This new clarity of vision has allowed me to see things in a new light. I am ready now to venture out once more and see the beauty in the world!

Melodrama aside, it’s good to have new glasses. The crack in my old glasses had spread to almost the height of the lens itself and was causing incredible strain on my vision. Transition lenses now give me the ability to stand out in the sun without having to squint my eyes in the glaring light. I had previously been skeptical of transition lenses. I had a pair when I was younger and they kept getting dark while I was inside of glass. Not a good thing when you’re trying to read the ridiculous scribbling on a chalkboard. But this pair seem to be far greater at staying transparent when I’m inside and then transitioning to something a little more opaque.

I must say that this is one of the better changes that has occurred in the last few months. Now, the only thing left to do is fill out my reimbursement report.
