Brief Interludes

It has been quite a while since I’ve posted something on my website, a sin that I shall be punished very severely for. Recent developments in my life has seen me edging further into the San Fernando Valley into an area bordering what could be seen as Ventura County! Rather than my usual update to post up the usual weekly “Something New” I figured I’d return to my roots and begin my usual tirade about things going on around the world.

While the Olympics take place in Beijing, China more important matters play out in other countries in the world. Fossils have been found in Switzerland that make us question the role that evolution played in creating the wonderful assortment of creatures we see today. Safety issues in the Brazil call into question the quality of Brazilian exported beef, a similar situation like the British mad cow epidemics of the late 90s. In news closer to home the Immigration and Naturalization Service seeks to solve the problem of illegal immigration by using self-check out lanes. Indeed, the world has been a busy place since I last posted here.

While I wait patiently for the photo’s from last week’s “Something New” to be sent to me so that I may post them here, we must ask ourselves the one important question - why aren’t we watching more woman’s gymnastics?
