The Vegas, Why The F@$K Not? Tour
by Ranil on Sep.01, 2008
Sometimes the unexpected happens and an adventure can happen.. Late one Saturday night two friends took a detour on the way to the Broadway Bar in Downtown Los Angeles and ended up in a far different place. What started out as a simple outing became an unplanned road trip to Sin City.
It started off easy enough. Arman and I were to hit up a bar in Downtown Los Angeles and wile away our Friday night. On the way there a simple question of “do I stay in the left lane and go to Vegas or go to the right and go Downtown” became the launching point of this little road trip. Armed with nothing more than a few pack of cigarettes and a hastily made hotel reservation we headed off to Vegas.
In Vegas we did the things that people do in Vegas – and as such what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. However I think the enjoyment of the trip lay more in the spontaneity of it all than of the actual destination. The idea that at a moments notice we headed off to do something we didn’t think we would. Well, that and the fact that Arman ate the “Colon Cleanser Hot” beef jerky.
Often we find that our best laid plans fall to the wayside. Sometimes it’s when we do things we least expect that make everything more worthwhile. Sometimes all you need is a car, three pack of cigarettes, a lot of time, and someone to ask “should I stay here or should I go there?”.
