Phone calls from a Black Hole

So as we wait for the newly formed blackholes created by the Large Hadron Collier to swallow the world as we know it I thought it would be prudent to get back into the business of blogging. I haven’t been able to keep up with doing big Something New’s every week, but I try to do little things in order to fulfill the requirement. Sometimes it’s as simple as eating dinner alone at Masa while reading the paper. Other times it’s just doing something I never thought I would do, like drive to Orange County on a whim but I still find time to get back to my home base and recoup. I think that is an important part of being yourself.

Lately I’ve been working on my calling card. The Art of Manliness blog makes a good point about bringing back this old tradition. Sometimes it’s not prudent to hand out a business card, especially during social situations so handing out a social calling card would be a better move. I hashed out the design for my card attached to this post. Give me some feedback as to what you think of it.

The year is dwindling down. A lot of strange things ahppened this year and it’s been quite an adventure to say the least. I am not pleased with the way things have turned out, but in many ways it’s for the best. Learn to endure and make the most of what was given. I’m doing things differently, mostly because I need to. I think I have a lot to learn and I’m looking forward to learning – I’m hoping that I’ll have a few good teachers along the way.
