Halloween 2008 – Free Drinks and Elvis

When Elvis plays people listen especially when Elvis decides to let the lyrical stylings of 80’s bands do the talking. Halloween 2008 found me in Glendale drinking free Hennessey and Coke at the Sidebar. A friend of mine decided to rock his 20’s gangster costume while the rest of our crowd decided we were too cool to wear costumes. As we drank our free drinks and rocked out to 80’s music played by an Armenian cover band one can’t help but ponder why I had $20 dollars of uneaten candy sitting at home.
In the end I should’ve worn my costume – The Stock Broker Who Committed Suicde After The Market Crash – but decided to leave the costume at home. Now I wait patiently for Turkey Day and all the food that ensues.
