by Ranil on Jan.05, 2009, under Life in Los Angeles, Points Of Importance
New Years Eve 2008 found me in Redondo Beach celebrating it with dinner, drinks, and lots of beach fun. We celebrated the end to a very strange year for me and toasted to a brighter year filled with adventure and the unknown.
Company Party 2008
by Ranil on Dec.12, 2008, under Life in Los Angeles, Work
With the holidays around the corner I made my way to the Marriot hotel to celebrate my companies annual christmas party. This is my last Christmas party with my company and so I decided to make the most of this event to mingle and talk to all my coworkers who made my time at the company worthwhile. The highlight of the day proved to be the after party drinks that I had with a few co-workers at Nick and Stef’s.
Places to Eat In LA: Kyushu Ramen
by Ranil on Nov.09, 2008, under Places To Eat In LA
In terms of comfort food Ramen has to rank up there with a nice Filipino breakfast. Braving the cold winds in the Valley my friends and I decided to head out to one of my favorite Ramen places outside of Little Tokyo – Kyushu Ramen. This place became a local favorite of mine a few years due to its location and its selection of different kinds of Ramen. This type of Ramen should not be confused with the prepackaged Ramen you find at stores due to its more complicated nature. While the main idea stays the same – noodles and soy or miso base – the collection of vegetables and different meats and spices make Ramen a truly enjoyable experience for me.

Not because I believe in his views, or think that Sarah Palin is hot, no I want you to vote for him because I don’t want to lose a bet and buy someone dinner. Democrat or Republican remember the real issue here – letting me eat dinner at a fancy restaurant for free!

by Ranil on Nov.03, 2008, under Life in Los Angeles
When Elvis plays people listen especially when Elvis decides to let the lyrical stylings of 80′s bands do the talking. Halloween 2008 found me in Glendale drinking free Hennessey and Coke at the Sidebar. A friend of mine decided to rock his 20′s gangster costume while the rest of our crowd decided we were too cool to wear costumes. As we drank our free drinks and rocked out to 80′s music played by an Armenian cover band one can’t help but ponder why I had $20 dollars of uneaten candy sitting at home.
