Something New: Week 1 – Riding The Bus To Work
by Ranil on Jul.11, 2008, under Something New
How do you get rid of one experience? Have 100 more to take it’s place. So, in the spirit of keeping things fresh and exciting for myself I’ve decided to drown myself in a multitude of experiences. Once a week (hopefully, if not every two weeks) I will try to do something new. Something I haven’t done in a while or something I haven’t done ever. This shall include, trying new foods, things, situations, and whatever comes to mind. This week it was riding the bus to work.
Los Angeles has a type of bus service called the Commuter Express which is basically a fast bus service for professionals that only runs during Rush Hour. This makes riding the bus from the San Fernando Valley to downtown Los Angeles even remotely feasible. With the help of my sister, I was able to plan this expedition out and hit the buses for the first time since almost 7 years ago!
Updating, just for fun

It dawned on me today that my site is in major need of an update. I don’t remember why this site sprung up and why I chose it to be a blog instead of something else, but here it is and now I need to maintain it. So, I decided to make a few updates. Gone is the link to the archives and in its place, look a login section. What does this mean for us? Well, it means you get to create an account here at Nulledge and do, well whatever it is logged in users do. I don’t know exactly what that is, and I’m sure it isn’t that interesting but well, there it is. I hope you use it.
On a side note, it turns out the site layout breaks under Internet Explorer 6, so, don’t use it. Use firefox instead. Or if you must, use Internet Explorer 7. I say firefox, but that’s just me.
I’m still trying to figure out what this blog should be about. Should it be about news or more about my personal life? Should it be like my old Myspace Blogs where I post about random things that pop into my head or should I make more relevant? These are questions I’m still asking myself. Once I know what I should do, I’ll let you know. Till then, stick around. Who knows, you may find something interesting.
